Situated 60kms South East of Timika, The 5 Islands are known as Home of the Asmat people. This remote and remarkable area consists of thousands of square kilometres of mangrove, coastal wetlands, secluded waterfalls and deserted beaches. An extensive area of mangrove lined river and creek systems, sand flats, bays, inlets and coastal reefs, all abundant with marine life, means the 5 Islands are also an unspolied angler’s paradise.

Fishing operates from the remote yet comfortable Camp on the Southern of The 5 Islands. Our camp can cater for up to 6 guests at a time.

Access to THE 5 ISLANDS is via Timika, from where you will be transported to a scenic 2 hours boat ride, along the coast.

Guests are provided with a high quality catch and release fishing adventure in a spectacular and pristine wilderness environment. The main fish species include barramundi, mangrove jacks, threadfin salmon, black jewfish, queenfish, trevally, spanish mackerel plus other species of quality river, creek and reef fish.

All inclusive packages range from 4 to 8 day fishing safaris that provide exclusive access to a multitude of areas.
